I’ve passed on the last few Ritchie’s as I found Ruse de Guerre so incredibly uninspired. However, as I am currently in the midst of some, umm, life changes/challenges, catching up on Ritchie may be just what the proverbial doctor ordered. I saw neither Backrooms nor Obsessions. I’m nearly 53 years old for god’s sake! I have not seen either of the two movies you mentioned as your best of 2026, but will seek them out. Finally, Rosamund Pike was outstanding in Gone Girl. Shame it didn’t click for her after that as it should have.
Yeah, that one wasn't great, and this one is at least watchable. The kids nagged us into watching Backrooms so we watched it with them. Pike was also good in Saltburn.

Köln 75 & President;s cake are excellent
My son loved both Backrooms and Obsessions. I’ve yet to see any of Fennel (?) movies.
Saltburn is a crude remake of Kind Hearts and Coronets, which remains a far better film, but it's enjoyable in its own rather twisted way
This is me wrt Fennell movies: https://clip.cafe/heat-1995/when-gonna-get-some-furniture-when-l-get-around-it/
Successfully watched In the Grey. By far the best movie I’ve watched on an iPad, in the kitchen, while making dinner this week.
